Crafty Christmas

Gore Hospital staff used everyday items in an inventive and on occasion offbeat way to create festive decorations.
An assortment of items, including surgical gloves, wood, toilet rolls and plastic disposable cups, were used to make Christmas decorations in a competition between departments.
Clinical manager Delwyn Soper said the idea for the recycled Christmas theme came from the hospital’s allied health team, which had put on a similar display last year.
“There was a lot of different little things brought from home,” Mrs Soper said.
The northern hemisphere featured in many of the scenes with snow and a wintry feel and of course Santa made an appearance. Chimneys featured, some with Santa disappearing down them to deliver presents.
Birch Lane Dental used baking soda and wet tissues to make snow.
