Pupils, teachers, parents, relatives and people from the community enjoyed listening to the voices of children from all over the region at the Mataura School Cultural Festival on Friday.

Mataura School deputy principal Sam Walker said about 1000 children participated in what was a fantastic day.

“It was another successful year involving 13 schools from around Eastern Southland, giving the opportunity for schools to learn off each other and share what’s happening in their school,” Ms Walker said.

The Ensign reporter Jenny Dillner went along with her camera to check out the fun.
