A cuppa and a browse around some beautiful artworks is on offer at the Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) art exhibition.

The exhibition focuses on affordable art created by local artists. The pieces will be for sale.

The artists are SIT Gore campus art for leisure class students.

The exhibition will be held on December 1 and 2 at the James Cumming wing between 10am and 4pm, spokeswoman Ros Barclay said.

“It’s two years since we’ve held it,”

There would be about 26 artists from the four art classes displaying works.

Each artist will have more than one work in the exhibition.

The exhibition had been a long-running event, she said.

There would be a wide variety of works on offer, she said.

“There’s every style you can think of,” she said.

“It’s a great opportunity to buy things for Christmas.”

The exhibition is free to enter.

Mrs Barclay urged the public to support it.
