The Mates Motorcycle Club has shown its support for the building of the new St John ambulance station by donating $1000 to the project.
Every year the club made a donation to a community group, club secretary-rally convener Jack McIntosh said.
Mr McIntosh and club president Hayden Jacob said St John provided a much-needed service in the community.
“Timing-wise, it’s a good thing for us to do,” Mr McIntosh said.
The two men said the service St John provided to motorbike riders was invaluable.
St John was always the first to turn up in an emergency, Mr McIntosh said.
St John Hokonui area executive officer Vicki Kelly said the organisation was grateful for all the donations the community had given to the project.
Mr Jacob said the club was keen to attract new members.
The club had monthly rides, a poker run and the annual rally held at the Southern Field Days site at Waimumu.
The rally will be held at a different time next year and will run from March 16 to 18.
Riders come from as far as Blenheim and Christchurch to attend the rally.Sports Shoes【2月14日発売予定】 ナイキ SB ダンク ロー バレンタインデー (313170-662) – スニーカーウォーズ
