The Bunker in Mataura has activities galore for all age groups.
Adding to the range of things available to do in the centre, it has set up a holiday programme for children in years 1-6.
Member of the youth trust Nicky Coats said there were no holiday programmes in Mataura during the second week of the school holidays.
“We needed to do something for the children, and to start it up was perfect timing.
“We have had a fabulous response to it.”
Throughout the year The Bunker has a lot of other community events put on for anyone wanting to join, and participate.
Every fortnight there is a family night, with the cafe open to cook dinner at reasonable prices.
“They can play pool, air hockey, table tennis or just interact and make new friends.”
In the summer months there was an outside area with fire pits which were perfect for roasting marshmallows, she said.
Underneath The Bunker there is a soft air rifle range that will be ready to go in the New Year.
“There are three lanes for the range, and we are very excited to get this up and running.”
