Children invited to be part of Christmas story

A storytelling session at Calvin Community Church will focus on the meaning of Christmas.
Event co-organiser Fiona Gemmill said children were invited to come along and dress up as angels and shepherds in the church’s costumes and enjoy the Christmas story.
The telling of the story would involve the children, she said.
“They get to join in and participate in the retelling,” Mrs Gemmill said.
“They’re not just sitting there; they’re actually part of it,” she said.
The Christmas storytelling event would be held at Calvin Community Church this Saturday starting at 6pm, she said.
The telling of the Christmas story was a regular event on the church’s calendar, Mrs Gemmill said.
“It’s mostly preschoolers that come along,” Mrs Gemmill said.
As well as the telling of the story, there would be craft and dress-up fun for the children, she said.
Supper would be served to everyone.
“We usually get 40 to 50 kids,” she said.
Organisers had notified kindergartens and schools of the event.
She believed it was important the origin of Christmas was known, Mrs Gemmill said.MysneakersGucci x The North Face Release Information
