Cameron the cat is homeless.
The friendly feline has lived at Cameron House Rest Home for much of her life, but with the closing of the facility, Cameron is without a fixed abode.
She is residing temporarily at the Gore and Districts SPCA until a new owner turns up.
Cameron House co-owner Hellen Webb said Cameron originally lived with a neighbour of the rest-home.
“We inherited the cat,” Mrs Webb said.
The cat was surrendered to the SPCA last week.
SPCA shelter manager Kath McDowall said Cami, as the little cat was known at the shelter, loved attention.
“She’s a lovely wee cat,” Mrs McDowall said.
“She’s definitely a people cat.”
The middle-aged cat would suit an older owner as she was used to older people.
“She’s an ideal cat for an older person.”

The residents became animated and enthusiastic when they became engaged with pets, Mrs McDowall said.
“It’s very therapeutic.”
Pets gave residents an interest to focus on.
“There’s nothing like a furry cuddle.
“I’m sure she’ll get a home quickly.”
