The Hokonui Christmas Market took place on Saturday and raised $2000 for the Gore and Districts SPCA.
Stallholder and co-organiser Zaynor McLean said they had slightly less foot traffic than in previous years but the day was still a good one.
“The donation we gave the SPCA was very good and we had a good lot of stalls,” Mrs McLean said.
About 35 stalls were set up in the Gore Town and Country Club from 8am and were selling between 10am and 3pm.
Funds raised for the Gore and Districts SPCA would make a difference going into kitten season, shelter manager Cath McDowall said.
She said the market was a great day and thanked Melissa Storer and Mrs McLean for helping to organise it.
The Gore and Districts SPCA received $1950 in donations plus $180 from raffles and merchandise.
