A fundraising monster market with a Christmas theme is to be held in the former Mataura Catholic church.
All proceeds from the monster market are to go towards the new St John ambulance hub in Gore.
Market hosts Kath Cowan and Marianne Henderson are seeking registrations from interested stallholders.
The wares on offer did not have to be festive in nature, Ms Cowan said.
The pair already had about six registrations for the the market, to be held on Saturday, December 2, from 10am to 2pm.
Ms Cowan said she bought the former Catholic church in March this year and decided it would be the perfect venue for a monster market.
She was keen to help St John financially as she appreciated the help she received from the emergency service last year.
Stallholders who had already registered included The Pamper Lady and a cupcake vendor.
The two women were keen to host about 20 stallholders with a wide variety of wares.
The former church was undergoing a Christmas makeover before the market so that it would have a festive feel.
As well as raising money by charging stallholders a fee, there would be a Christmas tree with presents around it as a raffle prize, Ms Cowan said. Businesses would be asked to provide a present to go under the tree.
“It will be a nice big raffle,” Ms Cowan said.
