The Southern Field Days have begun.
The Waimumu site is brimming with exhibitors all displaying their wares and services in the hope visitors will stop, look and buy.
Peek Exhibition was one of the companies busy before the event, installing interior fit-outs for exhibitors in the Cowhouse Construction Agricentre and various other sites.
Company representative Barry Bernard said as well as the Cowhouse site the company fitted out about 50 external sites.
The company had been fitting out sites at the field days since their inception.
“We’ve been here since it started,” Mr Bernard said.
Silver Fern Marquees representative Darryn Anderson said this was the first time the company had had a site at the Waimumu event but it was a regular at the Mystery Creek event.
Greg Lindsay, of Invercargill-based company Log Marketing New Zealand, a regular exhibitor at Southern Field Days, said it was definitely worthwhile having a site there.
The southern region is set to benefit from the influx of visitors to the event, which runs from today until Friday.
