The Gore Woodworkers Club is having a sale of wooden items made by members.

The sale will be held on November 27 at the clubrooms in the Gore A&P Showgrounds.

Workshop manager Stan Fissenden said usually club members sold items at the Gore Rhododendron Festival but as the event had been cancelled this year there was now a surplus of stock.

“We thought it would be good to have a market before Christmas,’ Mr Fissenden said.

There were many items for sale including children’s wooden toys, trays, chopping boards, candlestick holders and knick knacks.

“We have a real menagerie of bits and pieces.”

At the same time, the club would hold a garage sale so it could sell tools and other items which were taking up storage space and no longer used.

“It’s time they went.”

Woodworking magazines would also be part of the garage sale.

The Gore Woodworkers Club market and garage sale will be held on November 27 at 10am.
