A specialised product which provides relief from joint aches and pains is available in Gore.
Dog Oil was created in the United Kingdom in 1920.
Tim and Debbie Bradley, of Gore, started selling and promoting Dog Oil a year ago.
Dog Oil had been used for ‘‘the relief of severe arthritic pain and muscle strain throughout Britain since 1920 and personally used by my family for three generations’’, Mr Bradley said.
‘‘Primarily used by sports persons, builders, farmers and walkers, it has also been well received by the elderly population,’’ he said.
Dog Oil was derived originally from its use early in the last century by trainers of farming and running dogs.
It is made of 100% natural ingredients packed full of omega oils 3, 6 and 9, made solely from vegetable oil and mineral oil, is odourless and GMO-free, has not been tested on animals and has no artificial preservatives.
‘‘It’s a penetrative oil that gets into the bones and the muscles and relaxes them.’’
It had gained a loyal following by users of all ages and anyone who made a living on the land or who simply enjoyed the great outdoors in all weathers, Mr Bradley said.
The couple moved from Whangarei to Gore in March after travelling throughout the South Island.
They were insearch of a great community tobecome a part of and said they found it in Gore.
Mrs Bradley has been a support worker for more than 14 years, specialising in caring for tetraplegics for the last five years, and Mr Bradley is a stonemason of 30 years’ experience.
He runs his own business Stoneworx NZ Ltd.
The couple are originally from the United Kingdom and have been in New Zealand for more than 10 years with their two daughters. They now have four grandchildren. – For more information on Dog Oil, contact Mr and Mrs Bradley on (03) 208-0393 or send them an email at info@dogoil.co.nz.
