Almost 400 motorcyclists turned back time on the Blue Mountain Trail Ride at the weekend.
The trail bike ride harked back to the original trail ride 16 years ago, which ran from Wilden Run Rd.
Blue Mountain touring group co-ordinator Nelson Hancox said organisers were happy with the event, which ran throughout the weekend for the first time.
“We had about 220 to 230 on the Saturday and we will end up with about 160 to 170 today, so it is great,” Mr Hancox said, on Sunday.
The weekend had been successful as a whole with strong collaboration between the group and the Blue Mountain Motorcycle Club.
Mr Hancox thanked the landowners who allowed their land to be used for the event.
“Riders reckon this is was one of the better courses they have ridden on. The two loops, the 40km Wilden loops and the 30km Mole Hill loops, were suitable for ATV’s, families and expert riders,” he said.
Numbers for the event were lower than expected because of other similar events in the community, Mr Hancox.
The trail ride was a fundraiser for the Blue Mountain College tour group travelling to Australia in July.
