Laser tag sessions proving popular with all ages

The Gore Multisports Complex’s laser tag guns are popular, with bookings of up to eight people at a time available, a supervisor says.
MLT Event Centre supervisor Dan Winkel said the centre had been attracting all types of people who wanted to book in.
‘‘We have had a good number of group bookings for either schools or birthdays and attracted people from kids to adults and have even had a fitness group come along.’’
Mr Winkel said while the guns were not particularly heavy it was easy to break a sweat as people scampered around and squatted down.
‘‘People should come along and understand that they are not just for kids as they can be booked for work functions or team-building exercises,’’ he said.
While people can book to use the laser guns, the Event Centre is hosting two and three-hour sessions on Friday and Sunday when people can come along to give them a go.
During school terms, laser tag sessions are run at night on Friday between 6pm and 8pm and on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.
He said there had been plenty of people coming in for the sessions.
Mr Winkel said during winter the laser tag sessions took place indoors.
He said more outdoor sessions were likely during summer.
During school holidays there were several session times running from 2pm to 5pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
