The Cromwell-based chairman of the New Zealand Cricket Association, Stuart Heal, will attend the annual general meeting for the Gore A&P Association on August 11.
Mr Heal started working for CRT in Gore in 1978 when it was called Producers.
He then went on to be the chief executive for CRT Otago for more than 20 years.
Mr Heal has also worked 20 years for cricket in New Zealand, first with the Otago Cricket Association, of which he was chairman for 10 years.
He then moved on to New Zealand Cricket, serving eight years on the board before taking on the role of chairman for the past three years.
Mr Heal, who sits on the board of many different groups in New Zealand, said he had been invited to the meeting to speak about his various roles.
‘‘I will looking at talking about both companies, linking them together to talk about both of their governance models including the one-team approach,’’ he said.
He was intending on answering any questions, and some farmers were likely to remember him from his time at CRT.
Mr Heal said he was finishing up with New Zealand Cricket in November this year.
The meeting, to be held at the Heartland Hotel Croydon, would also review the balance sheet and annual report for the year ending March 31, 2016. – Those wishing to attend the AGM please RSVP to Val McGregor on (03) 202-7579.
