Gore Grizzlies’ players Beth Scott and Brittany Tiller are members of a victorious New Zealand under-18 ice hockey team that went through the Women’s Challenge Cup of Asia undefeated.

The side won gold, beating United Arab Emirates 16-1 in their final match in Bangkok on Wednesday.

Gore Grizzlies coach Grant Scott said Beth Scott and Brittany Tiller (both 15) had both stepped up very well at the tournament.

“It has been hard on the girls, it has been a long tournament, going from 35-degree heat, into an ice rink and out again. They have surprised everyone with how they have played,” Scott said.
