Situation vacant …The Eastern under-17 netball team needs a manager for the 2018 season.
The Eastern under-17 netball team needs a manager, Eastern Southland Netball Centre president Tracey Powley says.
The team’s coaches for 2018 were named recently, Vicky Weller being assigned the head coach role and Krishanee Tamou the assistant coach role.
“Ideally, we would like to find a manager before the end of the month. Now the coaches are in place it would be good to get a manager so they be a part of the mix from the word go,” Powley said.
“They need to help build a team culture.”
The person in the role would need to be organised, as the team would have a busy netball season.
“They’ll need to fundraise too, as the team goes away twice, once to Christchurch and the second time to Palmerston North for the national tournament.”
On top of organisational skills, the person must have a passion for netball.
“It’s a very integral part of the team, as they have to make sure things run smoothly as well as ensuring there’s good communication between the players and coaches.”
Anyone interested in the role can email the Netball Eastern Southland secretary (email@example.com) for an application form.
The Eastern Southland Netball Association will hold its annual meeting on Monday from 7pm in the Gore RSA conference room.
Anyone is welcome to attend.
