It was the icing on the cake for Gore Main School last week when it received its official GreenGold Enviroschools certificate and sign.

Enviroschools is a nationwide initiative which aims to foster a generation of young people who think and act sustainably. GreenGold is the scheme’s top award.

One of Gore Main School’s lead Enviroschools teachers, Nicola Millar, said receiving the certificate and sign produced the same feeling she experienced when the school first achieved GreenGold accreditation earlier this year – “that feeling of being really proud and exhilarated”.
