Gore High School pupils were excited about the estimated 400 cans and non-perishable items they have been donated as part of their 2023 can collection drive.
Can collection organiser Jessica Evans said they wanted to help people as much as possible in these tough times.
‘‘[The] cost of living means a lot of families are struggling. Especially coming up to Christmas,’’ Ms Evans said.
The pupils wanted to help people in tough situations, she said.
The collection is held yearly and coincides with a non-uniform day. All items were donated to the Salvation Army.
